My favorite watsons drugstore buys

I've always been a sucker for items that are affordable and goes a long way. So today i'd like to share my favorite buys from watsons.
These are more on the less than 200-300 pesos version hehe
I absolutely am super addicted to skin exfoliation and so whenever I get to see any items that would help me with my obsession i but it without second thought. I just feel that whenever I wash my face i need to be super clean after, I'm not being oc here. Well given that the environment outside is not so clean. I mean with the pollution, you sweat and all so i just want to feel fresher before bed.

So first in line is my number one must have, it's my ultimate helper to scrub off those dirty stuff from my face.

This is the marionnaud face exfolator? Well honestly... I don't really know what it's called but it's a manual version of those neutrogena and Olay microdermabrasion machines. By manual i mean it's not battery operated lol
I think they're similar in a way, this one also has a brush like material that you scrub on your face to give it a gentle exfoliation experience.
I usually do this especially when I have make up on it really helps get rid of the left over fountation on your face after washing.
How do i use it?
At first, i wet the bristles and then pour a small amout of my facial wash on it before massaging it to my face. It can feel a bit rough but you'll get used to it. My skin is not sensitive at all, it's super oily and so this helps a lot to take care of my open pores it really cleans out the dirt.
After using, I can already feel my skin get tighter and it feels really smooth. I don't usually put anything on my skin after, I just allow it to breathe overnight.

Second item on my list is this iwhite nose pack.

I've been using this since way way back. my college room mate recommended it to me and I loved it! She's obsessed with removing black heads and white heads haha this is one of thoses items that I feel I'll be using forever. It's so much fun to see all my white heads when you peel it off. I usually go for 3 rounds of this before I get a clear nose. It's also so easy to use i just leave it on my nose to dry and when it turns hard i peel it off and voila them white heads are out! Love it!

Third item on my list... Yes it is another facial item haha it's the favorite of a lot of people i know.
This is the St.Ives apricot scrub.

I absolutely love this and I bring it with me whenever I travel. I always feel it can give me the super clean face without dehydrating my skin and leaving it dry. This has little beads in it so i don't need to use any exfoliating stuff, it pretty much does the job.

Forth item on my list. Nope no more facial stuff. Well this is still kinda on the facial side, in a different way.

It's my nichido make up remover. I super love this because it's oil based, un scented and it does not hurt my eyes whenever I need to remove heavy mascara. This small bottle looks tiny buy hey it lasts so long. I use like just two bottles in a year. You need just a small amount, a little goes a long way girls. And it's super affordable too. Less than 200 pesos as far as I can remember.

Fifth item on my list. Hurray! this is not a facial item at all... I use this actually after i shower and bring it in my bag at work.

It's the hair fix keratin straight, leave on hair spray. I'm actually on my second bottle on this one. I absolutely love it.
For those who are sensitive to scents, well this kinda smells like a saloon hair product. I love how it is not sticky at all. Just spray a good amount and you're good to go. It works on wet and dry hair. I have colored hair and so I need the keratin to help me maintin my hair from getting even more damaged. I also have straight hair so I'm not so sure if this will straighten out wavy hairs. Since it does say "straighter and shiner hair" lol
But anyways, I do love it so much. Sometimes i use it as a hair perfume specially when I am so haggard and just came from the outside world.
Does not leave my hair sticky at all (yes I'm aware i repeated that). I've just had so many bad experiences with other hair products that end up sticky when you later it or re apply.
This one is just around 50 pesos only. Super super affordable! What more can i say.

So there you go. My favorite items form watsons. This was so much fun! I loved sharing my good buys with you.
I hope you all enjoyed my feedback on them and I also hope I got to help you girls find new stuff to try.
Till my next blog...

My halloween look 2014

Since halloween is just around the corner I wanted to do a makeup look but without spending a lot. I'm not much into spending on costumes. So I got inspired by my animal headbands that have been with me forever and thought hey, I'll do something with them and pi them to use. I have no idea what it is with my headband collection, i seem to have a lot and they all involve having ears on them.
All I used were my make ups at home so I didn't really spend on anything haha talk about being resourceful huh
Here's my tiger look-

This headband was with me since college and I got it from one of the games In ust.

Here's my leopard one-

This leopard one I've had for a year now. I got it last year when my friends and I celebrated halloween at a theme park in pasay city. I think this was just around 150 pesos and we wore wigs with it pretending to be Josie and the pussy cats lol

Items used-
Nyx smokey palette
Nichido eyeliner
Maybelline mineral blush
Saizen eyebrow pencil
Revlon color stay foundation

I hope I was able to give you ideas on what to be for halloween without spending a lot.
I've always loved this time of the year because it makes me feel like I have the right to be whatever I want to be just for a day hehe we can get away with it, for it is halloween!

Till my next blog..

Prime prime time

These are the only two primers i use because they're the only ones that are affordable (let's get real) and work well on my oily skin+pores.
The maybelline baby skin pore eraser is my go to primer when I am in need of a good long lasting settled finish. It does a good job. upon application you will see the pores are deminished at once.
The quick FX on the other hand is the one i bring around with me when i travel. It has a good amount in it, I've used it more than 5x already and it's still pretty full.
They give the same matte effect when applying but I must say the maybelline lasts longer. With the quick fx it doesn't stay matte for more than 2hrs I get oily and start blotting after. But hey it's less than 100 pesos so why complain hehe when on a budget i love these two. And eyre easily available at any watsons branch.

As you all may already know I am oily skin and these two work pretty well with my issues, large pores, oily skin and pimple scars. Who wouldn't want a little help with concealing those huh 👍

Anyways, that's all for now. I'll be back with more make up reviews soon.

My favorite concealers

I have tried a lot of concealers in the past years and now I believe I've found what I'll be sticking to.
I love this nyx above and beyond concealer specially on the under eyes. It does not crease as far as I've observed. It also doesn't have a fragrance which I love. It's got the right creaminess and it glides on well on the skin. it's not cakey and doesn't build up on your wrinkles, at least for me it didn't.
I also love the tea tree concealer of the body shop for concealing my pimples when it that's time of the month and treating them at the same time. You won't smell the tea tree on the concealer at all and you don't have to worry about break outs hehe this sometimes tends to build up on wrinkles because it can be a bit matte but you can always smooth it out.
These two concealers really help me a lot, I have oily skin and I need something that lasts for at least 8hrs. The staying power of these two are pretty good.

I must say I am really impressed with these two.
I just reciently purchased the nyx one and loving it so far.
As for the body shop concealer this was my second buy I really love it.

Hope you guys enjoyed my reviews.

Wet and wild sugar plum fairy

Hi guys! Today I'm giving my first impression on this lipstick from wet and wild in the shade sugar plum fairy.
I got this from a bazaar in centris beauty fair a few days ago.
Here's what it looks like-

Well fisrt of all, i was impressed with how pigmented these lipsticks are and how affordable it is to everyone, for just 190 pesos it's such a good buy.

I can't say anything negative about this lippie i super love the finish, the lasting power and the price!

I wore it the whole day and I had to retouch only once. I had it on approximately 8-10hrs.
Honestly speaking i Didn't expect it to last after I ate but hey there was still a lot left on my lips. There was a tint like stain so it didn't really completely disappear. It also does not bleed on the outside of your life. It did not dry my lips after use.
Like i said two thumbs up on the pigmentation and lasting formula.
I think I'll be purchasing more shades of these since I was so impressed with this one.
Hope you all like my short review on the lippie. More coming soon!

First Impression: Rimmel Matte Liquid Foundation and Rimmel Kate 101

Hi Girls!
This is the first time ever that i'll be trying a product from the cosmetic brand Rimmel. It is a well known brand from London. and i am super excited to try them out, after reading a lot of good feed backs about the brand i just had to give it a try.
I bought two items from Rimmel, a matte lipstick and a matte foundation (both from an online seller in instagram)
As you all may know, and for those who don't know..... I have the need for matte matte matte in my life lol (i have super oily skin)

So lets get stared...
I have the Rimmel Matte Foundation in shade: true ivory and a Kate by Rimmel Matte lipstick in the shade 101

First the foundation:
Lucky i found the perfect shade.

I was surprised to see the texture of this foundation, it is so thick in all fairness to the brand, so a little goes a long way. It does not have any scent on it, well it smells like make up but i don't think it has a strong perfume smell.

Put small amounts first then layer if you need to but i doubt if you need layering. it's freakin' thick already. I found it easy to blend (works better if you use your hands) but you have to be really quick cause it dries up pretty fast so you have to work with it fast as well.

I was happy with the finish of this foundation.
It was smooth, velvet like and not sticky at all. I love how matte it really is. I don't think you even need to settle it with powder. It has a fine finish that i am afraid to break so i left it untouched and went ahead and put on the lipstick.
The shade is perfect! I can't put into words how much i love the color, it's like a nude pale pink. love love love it!
Yes, it is matte but for some reason it looks glossy on me hehe

This is how it looks when exposed to day light. It has a super beautiful and natural finish. Not oily at all and it stayed put the whole time i was at the mall (roughly 5-6hrs). Although it has a tendency to settle on the corners of the nose and laugh lines..... or maybe i just have too many wrinkles where it found comfort in haha other than that i didn't see anything wrong after long wear.

The lipstick on the other hand was wiped off from all the eating, i had to reapply maybe 2x. It's not as lasting as i expected but i still love it because it is not the heavy matte type that dries up your lips after wearing it for a long time.

Sorry for the haggardness of the hair, it was half wet because i was in a hurry as i was already running late.

It was overwhelming to see that this foundation really settled well on my oily skin and how long lasting it was. It was very satisfactory. and to think that this was my fist Rimmel products ever, lucky i picked the right items.
I will surely be buying more Rimmel products soon.
Overall i was super satisfied with the foundation more than the lipstick but still i love the duo and will definitely buy more of it.

I hope you all loved my simple feedback on this product. If  you have any questions at all please do feel free to ask.

Thank you for reading!

trip to watsons with mom

so ever since i got my fraxel treatment done 3 weeks  ago, i was off make up and still am actually but when i passed by watsons (a local drugstore) with my mom i couldn't help myself but buy some stuff i found useful.
my mom is staying with us for a while and when she found my make up stash she got so excited about everything in it!lol this is a 60 year old woman we're talking about. we have been apart for almost 10 years ever since i went to college here in the Philippines and they (my parents) stayed in Dubai (where i was born&raised). i would only visit them in summer or winter breaks since i was studying and those were just short visits 2-3 weeks max. earlier this year they both retired and came back to Philippines, which brings me now to my blog.
so 10 years later this is when we get to bond, mother&daughter. i know there are a lot of things we missed out on, lots of experiences we didn't get to do together but i'm sure we'll have enough time to catch up. the past may be gone but there is still a future.
my mom particularly liked one make up item of mine, this is the L'Oreal minerals loose powder. she found it to be so light on her skin compared to cosmetic compact powders and she said that it was wearable everyday (which she eventually did). we have different skin types she has sensitive skin and i have oily skin. so we went over to watsons and looked for a minerals loose powder that was not as expensive as my L'Oreal one cause she said she would't spend php.900+ on a small powder that she would use everyday. we came across this booth which sells all mineral make up it was names bt minerals. all the cosmetics were really nice and cheap. the sales lady offered a mineral powder similar to what we were looking for, it also came with a concealer on the top cover so that i found was way useful than my L'Oreal.

it's really nice and compact so it's pretty easy to travel with. it's also light weight on the face nothing matte and heavy about it. i'd say this was a bargain.

next i saw this Revlon lip gloss/stain and fell in-love with it cause it's kinda matte, thick and looks not so glossy. i don't like lip glosses cause it pretty much forms a white film when it's on the lips for long plus i don't like the sticky feeling of gloss.
super love the shade "fire", the one on the left is mac Russian red.
the gloss is promising i just hope it is also long lasting. i love that it is a full size long gloss so the're a lot of product. this would be my first ever lip stain/gloss thing, i don't know what it's called lol

then we came across the booth of elf and found something interesting! a brow shaper! i mean a brow guide?! never saw anything like it.

it's super cheap and it comes with 4 different eye brow shapes so you can just put a brow design over your brows and shape them according to the brow kit.
so of-course with the brow kit should come some brow tools right?! we had to buy a brow powder so we went over to the booth of in2it and got one. it's super nice and it comes in 3 shades in one container.

i think after getting the eyebrow stuff mom was already satisfied.
i wanted to buy her some make up brushes too but i only use real techniques and they're not available in shops here so i order them online. we just settled for make up brushes from marinaud in watsons which doesn't look bad actually, for daily use they'll do just fine.
